The Uganda Law Society Members Directory Search Facility.
This directory is intended to assist the public in locating a particular ULS lawyer or articling student. Search results usually provide the name, address, firm, telephone number and email address of ULS lawyers. It will tell you a lawyer's practising status and the date when they first were licensed to practise.
Please note the following before you use the directory:

This directory is updated regularly but things can change quickly and if you want the most up-to-date information call the Law Society at +256 (0)414 342424;

Not all the lawyers on the list provide services to the public;

Privacy statement: This directory is provided to the public to assist them in locating lawyers they may wish to contact on a professional basis or to verify their status. The information in this directory is not to be used for any commercial, marketing or fundraising purposes.

The directory does not contain information on a lawyer's discipline convictions.
Practising status:
This directory will advise you of the practising status of a lawyer. Practising status can change quickly and while the directory is updated regularly the most up-to-date information on practising status can be obtained by calling us at (204) 942-5571.
If the status says "practising" it means the lawyer is actively practising law (though not necessarily offering services to the public).
If it says "non-practising" it means the lawyer is not currently practising and may mean they have temporarily left practice.
If the status says "articling student" it means they have graduated from law school but are not yet licensed to practise on their own and must work under the supervision of a lawyer for a year.
It the status says "suspended" that means the lawyer has temporarily lost the right to practise law.
Using the directory:
You can search for a lawyer by first name, last name, town/city and email address.
