East African Law Society (EALS) The East Africa Law Society is the premier regional Bar Association in East Africa. It is a dual membership organization, bringing together the five thousand-plus individual lawyer-members from the region as well as the four national bar associations. The International Bar Association (IBA) The world's leading global organisation of legal practitioners, bar associations and law societies. 18,000 members exchange information relating to all international aspects of law. Parliament of the Republic of Uganda The Parliament of Uganda derives its mandate and functions from the 1995 Constitution, the Laws of Uganda and its own Rules of Procedure.
The Constitution contains articles which provide for the establishment, composition and functions of the Parliament of Uganda and empowers Parliament "to make laws on any matter for the peace, order, development and good governance of Uganda", and "to protect the Constitution and promote democratic governance in Uganda".

Commonwealth Lawyers Association The Commonwealth Lawyers Association (CLA) was founded in 1983 and is an international professional association of lawyers from throughout the Commonwealth. It exists to maintain and promote the rule of law within the Commonwealth by ensuring that the people of the Commonwealth are served by an independent and efficient legal profession. Law Society of Kenya. The LSK is Kenya 's premier Bar association, with membership of all practising advocates, currently numbering in excess of the four thousand. It has the mandate to advise and assist members of the legal profession, the government and the larger public in all matters relating to the administration of justice in Kenya. Tanganyika Law Society. The Tanganyika Law Society (“TLS”) which is an association of practicing advocates in Tanzania Mainland , established by the Tanganyika Law Society Ordinance, then referred to officially as Ordinance No. 30 of 1954 (Cap 307) which came into force on 1st January 1955 .Membership to the TLS is compulsory for all professionally qualified lawyers from the time they are enrolled and given Certificates to practice law as advocates in Tanzania by the Chief Justice pursuant to the Advocates Act. The Judiciary of Uganda. The Judiciary is the third arm of Government, under the doctrine of separation of powers. The other two are the Legislature, which makes the law and the Executive, which enforces the law.
